Thanks for taking an interest in Dr Radiator and our services.

If you've found yourself on this page, then you're probably looking for information on how to maintain your home heating system and how to keep the cost of running it as low as possible.

However, there's a few things you need to know.

Firstly we would point out that knowing the health status and the cleaning of your home heating system is not the same as servicing your boiler. If you're looking to service or repair your boiler, you will need to contact a Gas Safe registered plumber.

Heres a full list of  What don't we do?

That said If you think your heating system is struggling because it has not been maintained or cleaned recently your in the right place.

Common signs that your home heating system is in need of help include:

  • Radiators which are hot at the top but cold at the bottom

  • Radiators requiring bleeding more frequently

  • Pipework to the radiators getting hot, but not the radiators themselves

  • The flow pipe is boiling hot but the return pipe is lukewarm or cold

  • A noisy system including gurgling.

Cleaning your boiler regularly keeps maintenance costs to a minimum, prevents breakdowns, helps to avoid disruption to your family's routine, and ensures your home heating system will run effectively for many years to come.

But how do you know when your Home Heating System requires cleaning?

Purchasing a DR Radiator Home Heating Test Kit puts you in control.

Manufacturers Warranties.

We know this might be boring but, it's incredibly important!

All manufacturers have very detailed terms and conditions regarding how their boilers must be maintained in order to comply with any implied warranties.

Here's an example.

Worcester Bosch Warranty & Guarantee.

Among a long list of warranty exclusions, item 4.2.7 clearly states:-

"4.2.7 Damage to the Product as a result of water quality or other external factors causing scale, sludge, blockages or associated costs of rectification."

Are not cover by your warranty.

Our Home Heating Test Kit is designed to help keep your boiler within the terms and conditions of your manufacturer's warranty.
